It’s not just screens
Most people think “blue light” means the tablet. It’s so much more than that. Modern homes are lit by LED and fluorescent bulbs that put out a lot of short-wavelength blue light — and many of them flicker faster than the eye can see. Add every glowing screen and gadget after sunset and your kid’s evening looks a lot more like noon than midnight.
Where blue light hides in your home
Phones, iPads and tablets, laptops, the TV, handheld games.
Mom or dad’s phone at story time, an Apple Watch glowing on the wrist.
LED and fluorescent bulbs — bright, blue-heavy, and often flickering.

Protect the hour before lights-out. Pull the amber on about 60 minutes before bed and cut the blue glow from all of it — screens, bulbs, indicator lights and streetlights — so the evening finally looks like evening.
What the sleep experts say
We’re not the first to flag evening light. Sleep scientist Dr. Matthew Walker (Why We Sleep) puts screen blue light near the top of what disrupts modern sleep. Night Game just makes that hour easy: pull the amber on, and the glow gets cut.
What the amber lens does
The Night Game evening lens is tuned to block the bulk of that 400–500 nm band (extending toward the deeper amber range), while keeping enough light through that kids can still see comfortably indoors. The lighter Day Game lens does gentler filtering for daytime screens and school.

Built to a real spec
Polycarbonate lenses (the impact-resistant material used in sports eyewear), UV400 protection, and a transmission profile we verify with a third-party spectrophotometer report measured in nanometer increments — not a single vague “% blocked” number.
In a 2009 study, people who had trouble sleeping wore amber (blue-blocking) glasses for about three hours before bed every night for two weeks. Compared to a placebo pair that didn't block blue light, the amber-glasses group reported noticeably better sleep quality — and improvements in mood. The takeaway: filtering out blue light in the evening supported a more restful night.
